Sustainable Ventures have put together a series of talks and workshops to help our community of startups grow. We have invited different domain experts to speak to you around some of the key challenges of growing your company.
A talk is scheduled on May 22nd from Jamie Stein from Fonte Capital with discuss Fundraising strategies.
After working in management consultancy (Bain and Company) and financial services (St. James’s Place Capital and Russell Investment Group), Jamie established Fonte Capital to support clients who have exceptional engineering expertise, scientific knowledge, or operating know-how. He works closely with them to build pipelines of commercial opportunities and / or to establish relationships with different forms of capital. In addition, Jamie works closely with some institutional investors to source and create investment opportunities, and / or to select the right 3rd party advisors.
Jamie has made early stage investments in a number of small businesses and has also helped to raise money for a number of companies. This has included common equity, preference shares and loan notes, as well as finding JV partners or buyers for specific projects. He has done this variously as a director of a business, as an interim C-level exec, and as an intermediary. Fonte Capital is an Appointed Representative of Frank Investments Limited, a firm who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
